Bertrand Bonello’s THE BEAST Gets Digital Streaming Release Date
Bertrand Bonello’s acclaimed time-jumping sci-fi drama THE BEAST is set to make its streaming debut next week, arriving on digital platforms on June 18th, 2024. The film world premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival before launching in US theaters on April 5th, 2024.
The Beast is directed and written by Bertrand Bonello from a story he co-wrote with Guillaume Bréaud and Benjamin Charbit. It is loosely based on Henry James's 1903 novella The Beast in the Jungle. It stars Léa Seydoux and George MacKay, with Guslagie Malanda and Dasha Nekrasova in supporting roles.
The film’s story is as follows: In the near future where emotions have become a threat, Gabrielle (Seydoux) finally decides to purify her DNA in a machine that will immerse her in her past lives and rid her of any strong feelings. She then meets Louis (MacKay) and feels a powerful connection, as if she had known him forever.
