Amazon MGM has set a streaming date for their comedy crime thriller sequel ANOTHER SIMPLE FAVOR, which will begin streaming on their Prime Video platform on May 1st, 2025. The film is set to world premiere at the upcoming SXSW Festival.

Another Simple Favor is directed by Paul Feig, and the script, which is based upon characters by Darcey Bell, was written by Jessica Sharzer and Laeta Kalogridis. The film is a sequel to 2018’s A Simple Favor.

In the film, Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Lively) travel to Capri, Italy for Emily’s wedding to a rich Italian businessman where, as the logline reveals, “murder and betrayal” occur. The cast also includes Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin and Henry Golding, who starred in the original film, plus Elizabeth Perkins, Michele Morrone, Alex Newell and Allison Janney.
