All of Us Strangers Theatrical Release Date Announced

Courtesy Searchlight Pictures

Searchlight Pictures has announced the theatrical release of Andrew Haigh’s ALL OF US STRANGERS, which will hit theaters on December 22nd, 2023. No word on how wide the release will be, but we’re assuming it won’t go national right away. The film stars Adam Scott, Paul Mescal, Claire Foy, and Jamie Bell, and is loosely based on the 1987 Japanese novel “Strangers” by Taichi Yamada.

Searchlight describes the plot as follows: “One night in his near-empty tower block in contemporary London, screenwriter Adam (Scott) has a chance encounter with his mysterious neighbor Harry (Mescal) that punctures the rhythm of his everyday life. As Adam and Harry get closer, Adam is pulled back to his childhood home where it appears his long-dead parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell) are both living and look the same age as the day they died 30 years before.”

This is Haigh’s first film since 2017’s Lean on Pete. His focus has recently been on television, having created the HBO series Looking, and adapted for AMC the criminally under-seen The North Water.

We’ve added the release date to our theatrical calendar (poster is temp).
