Lionsgate Films has unveiled the official trailer and character posters for their upcoming music comedy POWER BALLAD, which will launch in US theaters on June 5th, 2026. The film had its world premiere at the 2026 Dublin International Film Festival in March.
Power Ballad is directed and co-written by John Carney (Once, Sing Street) and stars Paul Rudd, Nick Jonas, Jack Reynor, Havana Rose Liu and Sophie Vavasseur.
In the film, when Rick, a past-his-prime wedding singer, meets fading boy-band star Danny during a gig, the two bond over music and a late-night jam session. But when Danny turns one of Rick’s songs into the hit that reignites his career, Rick sets out to reclaim the recognition he believes he deserves – even if it means risking everything he cares about.
