Sony Pictures Classics is expected to release their animated docudrama THEY SHOT THE PIANO PLAYER on VOD and digital platforms next week, arriving on April 30th, 2024. The film world premiered at the 2023 Telluride Film Festival before arriving in US theaters in limited release on February 23rd, 2024.

They Shot the Piano Player was directed by Fernando Trueba and Javier Mariscal and centers around the real-life disappearance and presumed murder of Brazilian pianist Francisco Tenório Júnior in 1976. The film stars Jeff Goldblum as an American music journalist investigating Tenório's case.
