Pablo Larraín’s MARIA Gets Netflix Streaming Release Date

Netflix has set a streaming premiere date for their awards hopeful biopic MARIA, which will begin streaming on their platform on December 11th, 2024. The film world premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival, and will have a limited theatrical release on November 27th, 2024.

Maria is directed by Pablo Larraín, written by Steven Knight. The film stars Angelina Jolie as Maria Callas, with Valeria Golino as her sister Yakinthi, and Haluk Bilginer as Aristotle Onassis.

1977: Maria Callas, once the world's greatest opera diva, lives in seclusion in Paris with her staff and her two poodles. Her health is getting worse and worse. Then she receives a request to go on tour again. Will La Callas sing again? And if so, for whom?
