Amazon MGM’s KILLER HEAT Gets Trailer, Poster, Prime Video Streaming Premiere Date
Amazon MGM has unveiled the first trailer and poster for their upcoming crime thriller KILLER HEAT, which will launch on Prime Video on September 26th, 2024.
A thrilling, contemporary mystery in classic noir style, Killer Heat follows private eye Nick Bali (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), an American expat in Greece, hired to investigate the supposed accidental death of young shipping magnate Leo Vardakis (Richard Madden) on the island of Crete. The victim’s sister-in-law (Shailene Woodley) doesn’t believe the official police report. But what exactly happened to Leo, and why?
Despite the sun-drenched beauty of its exotic Mediterranean locale, Nick finds darkness at every turn: where the rich and powerful Vardakis family rule like gods, where jealousies run deep, and anyone could be a suspect.
Amazon MGM Studios presents a Makeready Production: Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception, Knives Out, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F), Shailene Woodley (The Fault in Our Stars, Divergent, Ferrari), Richard Madden (“Citadel,” “Game of Thrones,” Cinderella), star in Killer Heat. The film also stars Babou Ceesay (BAFTA nominee, Damilola Our Loved Boy), Clare Holman (ITV’s “Inspector Lewis”), Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road).
Killer Heat was directed by Philippe Lacôte (Night of the Kings), from a screenplay by Matt Charman (Oscar nominee, Bridge of Spies) and Roberto Bentivegna (BAFTA nominee, House of Gucci), based on the short story “The Jealousy Man,” by bestselling author Jo Nesbø.
